Dr. Chris Saunders is a Senior Teaching Fellow at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), specializing in leadership and responsibility. He served as Associate Dean for Postgraduate Education (2019–2023) and directed LUMS's MBA and Executive MBA programs. His research focuses on leadership development processes, and he authored a leading textbook on Leadership (3rd ed., Oxford University Press). Saunders teaches MBA students and executive education clients on topics like Responsible Management and CSR.
Education: PhD in Management and Leadership (Lancaster), MPhil in Critical Management (Lancaster), MBA (Lancaster), BA (Hons) in Ancient History (Newcastle upon Tyne). External roles include External Examiner for Durham University’s MBA programs and AMBA Accreditation Panel membership. He previously chaired Bolton at Home’s audit committee (2010–2017) and managed the Golden Hinde Educational Museum Ship.
