Chris Rominger serves as Lecturer on Social Studies and Director of Undergraduate Studies at Harvard University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, joining the Social Studies program in 2025. He is the primary administrative contact for senior theses, research funding, advising assignments, secondary fields, and joint/dual degree programs.

Specializing in modern North African and Mediterranean history, Rominger's research examines mobility and transnational political movements during early twentieth-century imperial conflicts. His current book project traces Tunisian photographer Albert Samama-Chikly through the French colonization of Tunisia (1881), Italo-Ottoman War (1911-1912), and World War I (1914-1918), utilizing Arabic, French, and Italian archival sources to analyze cross-border political networks.
In his administrative role, Rominger oversees undergraduate curriculum development, thesis supervision protocols, and research funding allocation for Social Studies concentrators. He manages faculty advising assignments and provides guidance for students designing interdisciplinary pathways through secondary fields and combined degree programs.
