Chris Riesbeck is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering. He directs the Master of Science in Computer Science Program and co-directs the Center for Computer Science and Learning Sciences. Riesbeck holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University (1974) in Computer Science, with a focus on natural language understanding. His research spans AI, educational technology, and agile methodologies, emphasizing technology-driven educational reform and authorable intelligent systems. He has authored influential textbooks like Artificial Intelligence Programming and Inside Case-Based Reasoning.
