Dr. Chris Pratt is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Environment and Science at Griffith University, specializing in Chemistry and Forensic Science. He is affiliated with the Australian Rivers Institute and serves as the Queensland universities' representative for the Australian Land and Groundwater Association. His research focuses on soil geoscience applications in agriculture, climate change mitigation, contamination control, and technology development.
Pratt has extensive experience in funded research, including projects on soil carbon credits, nutrient management in constructed wetlands, and sustainable farming technologies. He has supervised doctoral students such as Oluchi Juliet Mbachu, focusing on microplastics in urban stormwater systems.
