Chris Perez is a Lecturer in the Department of Accounting & Information Management (AIM) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He serves dual roles as Firm Relations Liaison and Alumni Outreach Coordinator. Perez holds an Associate of Science in Accounting from Walters State Community College (2019), a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting (2021), and a Master of Accountancy (2022) from UT. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Learning, Design, and Technology at UT. His professional background includes a decade in theater and film through the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, which informs his unique interdisciplinary approach.
Research interests focus on integrating educational technology into accounting curricula and strengthening industry connections through firm relations. His outreach efforts bridge academic and professional accounting communities. Awards include the Guy L. Lachine Memorial Award for professionalism and the Peer Mentor Torchbearer Award.
