Chris Paulu is an Assistant Research Professor in the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine (USM), embedded with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Environmental and Occupational Health Program since 2007. His work focuses on enhancing the Maine Tracking Network, a component of the US CDC’s National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network. He specializes in quantitative and qualitative analyses, spatial analysis, geocoding, mapping, and data visualization. He also supervises epidemiology staff, collaborates on research projects, and consults for Maine CDC programs.

Research expertise includes environmental epidemiology, exposure assessment, public health surveillance, epidemiologic study design, GIS applications, and online informatics.
