Chris Offutt is an Assistant Professor of English & Screenwriting at the University of Mississippi. He holds an M.F.A. in Fiction from the University of Iowa and a B.A. in Theatre from Morehead State University.
His research focuses on creative writing, fiction, memoir, and screenwriting. He has authored several books including Kentucky Straight (stories), The Good Brother (novel), and screenplays for shows like True Blood and Weeds.
