Chris Murray is a Professor in Counseling Psychology & Human Services and Director of the Center on Human Development at the University of Oregon's College of Education. He specializes in teacher-student relationships, adolescent-to-adult transitions, and disabilities. Prior to academia, he worked as a special education teacher and counselor for homeless youth. His research focuses on improving educational and vocational outcomes for individuals with disabilities, supported by over $40 million in federal grants.

Research emphasizes evidence-based interventions for youth with disabilities, including cooperative learning strategies, social support networks, and transition planning.
