Chris M. Lawrey

Dr. Chris M. Lawrey is an Associate Professor and Director of the Jaguar Investment Fund at the Mitchell College of Business, University of South Alabama. He is affiliated with the Department of Economics, Finance, and Real Estate.

Dr. Lawrey specializes in working capital management, corporate and personal liquidity, cash management, trade credit, and financial markets. His research explores the intersection of corporate financial strategies and market dynamics.

He has received recognition for teaching excellence, including the Professor of the Year award (2021) and Excellence in Teaching Award (2020). Dr. Lawrey actively engages in professional service, such as membership on the Keesler Federal Credit Union Community Advisory Panel and former board chair of Success Credit Union.
