Chris Linsteadt

Chris Linsteadt is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He holds an M.S. in Accounting (2002) and M.S. in Business Administration (1996) from UT Dallas, and a B.B.A. in Marketing and Sales from East Texas State University (1984).

His research interests focus on auditing, risk management, and internal audit practices. He has published works such as the IIA handbook Auditing Vendor Relationships (2003), which explores vendor relationship audits and risk mitigation strategies. His professional experience includes over two decades in audit consulting, risk management, and insurance analysis, with roles at the FDIC and Travelers Insurance Corporation.

Professional experience highlights include serving as an Internal Audit Consultant for Alliance Data Systems, managing risk at the FDIC, and leading insurance claim negotiations. He holds certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and passed all parts of the Texas CPA exam.
