Professor Chris Hill is a Professorial Fellow-Enterprise at the University of Southampton, affiliated with the GeoData research group. His work focuses on geospatial frameworks, coastal resilience, climate change adaptation, and disaster risk management. He collaborates with institutions like the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the European Union, and UNICEF on projects such as analyzing coastal morphological changes, flood risk, and agricultural vulnerability in vulnerable regions.
Key research interests include geospatial data integration for infrastructure planning, coastal hazard assessment, and sustainable development in deltas. His recent work includes developing web-based portals for coastal resilience and analyzing the implications of sea-level rise on vulnerable deltas like the Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna.
