Chris Hickey

Chris Hickey is an Associate Professor of Biology and Director of the Health Sciences Program at an institution within the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Since joining in 2018, he has focused on cancer molecular biology and the development of novel therapies targeting leukemia, utilizing microRNA biology to influence gene expression in cancer cells.

Research Interests:
Dr. Hickey's work centers on cancer molecular biology, experimental therapeutics for leukemia, and microRNA-based strategies to modulate gene expression in malignant cells. His research aims to eliminate cancer cells while preserving healthy tissue through targeted molecular mechanisms.
