Chris GREEN is a Lecturer in Drama, English & Creative Arts at the University of Plymouth, collaborating with Katheryn Owens as 'greenandowens'. Their practice spans performance writing, sound art, and participatory projects addressing queer identities and millennial precarity. They hold a co-authored PhD from the University of Plymouth (2023) exploring performance writing and socio-economic marginalization through friendship-based research.

Research Interests: Queer art/performance, millennial precarity, watery practices as creative methodology, labor and economics in performance, co-authorship, and object-oriented contemporary art. Current projects include a co-authored book on their doctoral research and a practice-research project centering swimming as a creative methodology.
Teaching Specializations: Performance art, site-specific practices, gender/sexuality studies, practice-based research, and collaboration pedagogy. Previously taught at Leeds Beckett University, Sheffield Hallam University, and others.
Key Collaborations: Worked with the Whitworth gallery on the Borderlines walking performance (2022) and co-edited the Art and the Public Sphere special issue on queer collaboration (2024). Active in editorial roles for Platform and Art and the Public Sphere.
Labs/Groups: Member of the Culture, Power and Inclusion Research Group and Practice Research Group at the University of Plymouth.
