Chris Fisher

Dr. Chris Fisher is a Professor in the Department of Anthropology and Geography and Environmental Affairs at Colorado State University (College of Liberal Arts). His research focuses on landscape archaeology and human ecodynamics, particularly investigating the relationship between ancient societies and their environments. He leads projects in Mesoamerica, including the Malpaso Valley and Lake Patzcuaro Basin, utilizing LiDAR and GIS technologies to study urbanism, environmental change, and sustainability.

Education: Ph.D., University of Wisconsin (2000); M.A., University of Wisconsin (1994); B.A., Michigan State University (1992). He teaches courses on prehistory and Mesoamerican archaeology.
