Chris Erdman is an Assistant Professor of Classics at Washington University in St. Louis. His research focuses on Roman Republican political culture and institutions, particularly the political role of the Roman people in the post-Gracchan period. He employs interdisciplinary methods combining epigraphy, comparative history, and ancient historiography.
