Chris Elliott is a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Chester and Programme Lead of the Social Work Degree Apprenticeship (SWDA). With professional experience as a social worker, senior social worker, team manager, and children's Guardian in family courts, his research focuses on parental alienation, children's voices in legal proceedings, domestic abuse, anti-oppressive practices, and parenting assessments.
He teaches across all social work programs including BA, MA and SWDA, leading modules on Social Work Practice with Children and Families and Applied Theory and Methods. His court skills sessions incorporate role-play exercises to prepare students for real-world scenarios.
Education includes:
- M.A. in Social Work from Liverpool John Moores University
- B.A. Hons in Sociology and Human Resource Management from University of Stirling
