Chris Dunn is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health and a member of the Sport and Health Research Group at Solent University. He leads the Solent Health initiative, recognized nationally for its Workplace Wellbeing programs. His research focuses on Salutogenic theory, Sense of Coherence, and health interventions.

Research Interests: Exploring how health promotion strategies address systemic factors influencing community health, with a focus on Salutogenic outcomes and reducing health inequalities. Current work emphasizes resistance training’s role in public health and mindfulness-based interventions in schools and workplaces.

- 3-time winner (2014–2016) of ukactive’s Workplace Wellbeing Award
- Shortlisted for BUPA Employee Wellbeing and Royal Society for Public Health Awards
- Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
Teaching & Grants: Designs and delivers modules on Public Health, Health Inequalities, and Sustainable Futures across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. His grants support workplace wellbeing initiatives and mindfulness in education.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Solent Health initiative and collaborates with the Mindfulness in Schools Project (MISP) on behavioral and resiliency research.
