Chris Bradley

Chris Bradley serves as a Percussion Tutor at the University of Huddersfield (over 25 years) and as a Visiting Tutor at the Birmingham Conservatoire. He is also an Advisor for Yorkshire Young Musicians. As a performer, he is a member of the Orchestra of Opera North and has collaborated with major ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Mahler Chamber Orchestra across international festivals and opera productions.

His professional focus centers on percussion performance and music education, with significant expertise in orchestral repertoire and cimbalom. Bradley has performed in world premieres at the Royal Opera House and Glyndebourne, contemporary works with the London Sinfonietta, and has been involved with the World Orchestra for Peace since 2000—performing at festivals in Beijing, Moscow, Berlin, and Salzburg. His educational philosophy integrates performance excellence with accessible outreach.

Bradley maintains extensive youth orchestra engagement, having tutored for NYOS, NYOGB, Ulster YO, and Yorkshire Young Sinfonia while conducting Yorchestra and the National Children's Orchestra. His creative projects include the educational show 'Rhythms my Mother Taught Me' (running since 1995), 'Chris Bradley's Orchestral Adventures,' and the community-focused 'Tour de Northerlies' bicycle concert. His percussion trio 'Bradley's Hitmen' has been active for over three decades.
