Dr Chris Boyes is a Senior Lecturer at York St John University within the School of Science, Technology and Health. He serves as Head of Programme for MSc Advanced Practice and MSc Professional Health and Social Care Programmes, delivering Evidence-Based Practice and Research Methods instruction at undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he contributes to curriculum validation and quality assurance processes while maintaining active external examiner roles at institutions like the University of East Anglia and Oxford Brookes University.
His research focuses on continuing professional development (CPD) for allied health professionals and health coaching methodologies, with significant publications exploring workplace incivility in healthcare teams (Naylor et al., 2022) and outcome measurement frameworks in neurological physiotherapy (Yoward et al., 2008). As a PGR senior supervisor, he guides doctoral research on topics including imposter syndrome, ADHD clinical practice, and simulated professional training.
