Chong Eun Ahn is an Associate Professor of History at Central Washington University. Her research focuses on modern East Asian history, particularly ethnic identity formation under colonialism and post-colonial nation-building processes. She holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Washington and has taught courses on world history, modern East Asia, and gender studies in Asia.

Her work examines Korean identity dynamics under the Japanese Empire and Chinese nation-state frameworks, with emphasis on colonial legacies, migration patterns, and memory studies. Publications span topics from Korean-Chinese civil war dynamics to wartime experiences in Manchuria, with forthcoming works on interdisciplinary teaching methods and gender history in East Asia.
