Chloë Ingersent is a Postdoctoral Associate Member at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Faculty of History and Department of History. Her research focuses on social and gender histories of English law (1550–1610), particularly through the lens of the Star Chamber, addressing topics such as women's roles in crime, gendered social norms, judicial corruption, and premodern violence. She co-convenes the paper 'Gender and Protestant Cultures in England, 1558–1659' and has taught undergraduate courses on British Isles history and European/Western history.
- Education: Undergraduate and MSt studies at Oxford (Regent’s Park College, Worcester College); supervised by Dr Jonathan Healey.
- Research Themes: Property disputes, assault, forgery, couverture, anti-enclosure protests, witchcraft, and emotional history of spontaneous abortions.
