Ching-to Albert Ma

Ching-to Albert Ma is Professor of Economics at Boston University and President of the Chinese Economic Association in North America. His research examines health economics, insurance systems, and US healthcare reform.

During a 2009-2010 residency at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, he investigated treatment progress and patient compliance relationships. Publications analyze physician-patient dynamics, insurance impacts on employment, and public-private resource allocation.

Awarded the LSE's Honda Prize and University of Hong Kong's Ronald Hsia Prize, he directs Boston University's Economics Department and Industry Studies Program. Editorial roles include co-editorship of the Journal of Economics and Management Strategy.
