Ching Jin is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM) at the University of Warwick. Their research focuses on computational social science, leveraging methods from network science, statistical physics, and artificial intelligence to analyze large-scale datasets in technology, science, and commerce. Key publications include work featured in Nature Human Behaviour and Nature Communications, addressing topics like scientific prize impacts and complex system dynamics.
Before joining Warwick, Jin held roles as a postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and as Associate Director at the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO). They earned a PhD in Physics from Northeastern University.
Research interests include computational social science, data science, network science, and complexity science. Their work has been highlighted in media outlets such as Harvard Business Review and Science Daily.
