Chinchih Chen

Chinchih Chen is a Lecturer in Economics at the Faculty of Business and Law, University of Roehampton. Previously, he served as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Future of Work programme at the Oxford Martin School, University of Oxford. He holds a PhD in Economic Geography from the London School of Economics (2014), an MPA in Public and Economic Policy from LSE (2009), an MBA from National Taiwan University (2003), and a BA in Economics from National Taiwan University (2001).

His research focuses on labour markets, technological change, and international trade. Recent projects include an EU-funded investigation into post-US-China trade war production networks and a comparative analysis of automation impacts in Europe. Key areas of inquiry include the interplay between automation, global trade dynamics, and policy responses to crises like the pandemic.
