Chinbo Chong is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Cultures, Societies, and Global Studies at Northeastern University’s College of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her research focuses on American politics, political behavior, and race and ethnic politics, with a particular emphasis on Asian American and Latino voters. She investigates how immigration, discrimination, and xenophobic rhetoric shape political identity formation and civic engagement among immigrant communities.
Chong holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. Her work bridges quantitative and qualitative methods, including survey experiments and observational data, to explore topics such as party identification, collective action, and racial stereotypes.
