Chian-ann Lu

Chian-ann Lu is an Assistant Professor at Coastal Carolina University's Department of Theatre within the College of Humanities. An internationally recognized theatre artist from Taipei, Taiwan, he holds an MFA in Design and Technology from the University of Texas at Austin.

His expertise focuses on theatrical lighting design, stage photography, and moving light programming. Through his artistic practice, Lu emphasizes light as a narrative catalyst that 'sculpts time, space, and emotion' to illuminate human experiences.
