Chi Lifeng

Chi Lifeng is a Chair Professor at the Institute of Functional Nano & Soft Materials (FUNSOM), Soochow University, China, and an Adjunct Professor at the Physics Institute of Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (since 2014). She holds a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry (1989) and completed her Habilitation at the University of Münster (2000). Her research focuses on supramolecular chemistry on surfaces, including on-surface reactions (e.g., C-H bond activation), molecular self-assembly, and interfacial molecular engineering. She has authored over 400 papers with >13,700 citations (H-index 62) and received prestigious awards like the IUPAC Distinguished Women in Chemistry Award (2017) and ACS Nano Lectureship Award (2016).
