Cheryl Sparks

Cheryl Sparks is an Associate Professor and Co-Chair of the Department of Marriage and Family Therapy within The College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Eastern University, where she has been since 2014. She also maintains a private practice providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families.

Her professional expertise includes:

• Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples treatment
• Community workshops on marriage, parenting, and spiritual growth
• Practical clinical approaches for anxiety, depression, trauma, and mental health challenges

Dr. Sparks co-directs the Doctor of Arts and PhD programs in Marriage and Family Therapy and serves on the board of the Philadelphia Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy, advancing therapist training and community mental health initiatives through evidence-based EFT methodologies.
