Cheryl Elliot is a Lecturer in Midwifery Studies at Northumbria University. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Nursing, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Midwifery, and an MSc in Midwifery Studies. Her career spans nursing roles in Australia and the UK, followed by a transition to academia in 2018. She teaches full-time and is engaged in research focused on maternal health, infant feeding, and perinatal mental health.

Her publications include innovations in breastfeeding education (CHINS/LATCHES frameworks) and inter-professional clinical training. She has presented at conferences such as the Royal College of Nursing and Advanced HE NET.
