Cheryl C. Smith is a Professor of English and Associate Dean of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences at Baruch College, City University of New York. She oversees curriculum, instruction, academic affairs, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives at Weissman School.

Her publications and presentations highlight trends in Digital Pedagogy, Open Educational Resources, and Hybrid Course Design. She has co-edited the Journal of Basic Writing for over a decade, emphasizing Equity in Education and Student-Centered Learning.
