Cher Potter

Cher Potter is a Senior Research Fellow at the London College of Fashion (UAL) and the Victoria and Albert Museum. She founded the cross-continental design research unit AfriDesignX, supported by the Leverhulme Trust, and teaches the unit 'Design Futures: tendencies, tactics and terminology.'

Research Interests: Cher Potter’s work centers on emergent design practices in Africa, cultural production, socio-political and cultural trends in design, and future-focused methodologies. She collaborates with makers in Nairobi, Accra, Johannesburg, and Dakar to challenge contemporary design paradigms.
