Chenn Zhou is the NIPSCO Distinguished Professor of Engineering Simulation and Director of the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation (CIVS) at Purdue University Northwest (PNW). She also leads the Steel Manufacturing Simulation and Visualization Consortium (SMSVC). With over 40 years of research experience, her work focuses on combustion, computational fluid dynamics, energy decarbonization, and pollutant emissions. She has managed $40+ million in research funding and produced 500+ publications.

She emphasizes collaboration with students and industry partners to translate research into practical applications.
Publications: Her recent work highlights advancements in steel manufacturing simulation, industrial reactor optimization, and visualization-driven process improvements. These studies underscore her focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and interdisciplinary innovation.

Labs & Teams: She directs CIVS and SMSVC, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and national labs to advance manufacturing and energy technologies.
