Professor Hai-Ling Cheng is an Assistant Professor in the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. She is also a member of the Translational Biology & Engineering Program at the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research. Her research focuses on quantitative MRI and its applications in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and cardiovascular imaging at physiological, cellular, and molecular levels.

- PhD in Medical Biophysics, University of Toronto (2003)
Her work emphasizes translational research through non-gadolinium contrast agents and advanced MRI technology for early detection of cardiovascular diseases and guidance of stem cell therapies. Recent student achievements in her lab include publications in ACS Sensors, Discover Medicine, and Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, alongside conference awards at ISMRM and World Molecular Imaging Congress.
