Chenchang Zhu is a Professor at the Mathematics Institute of Georg-August-Universität Göttingen since 2013. She previously held positions as Maitre de Conférences (assistant professor) in Grenoble, post-doc at ETH Zurich, and earned her Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley in 2004.
Research Interests:
- Higher/derived groupoids and algebroids
- Differential graded manifolds
- Shifted symplectic structures
- Poisson and symplectic geometry
- Applications to mathematical physics
Academic Activities: Holds the inaugural CRM-MdM Chair of Excellence (2025), co-organizes conferences like Poisson 2024 and Higher Structures and Field Theory, and leads the WiMgo! women-in-math circle.
Scientific Awards:
- Inaugural CRM-MdM Chair of Excellence (2025)
Advising: Supervised Ph.D. students Stefano Ronchi, Hao Xu, Kalin Krishna, Florian Dorsch, Malte Dehling (graduated), and Du Li, as well as selected master and bachelor theses.
