Dr. Chen Wang is a Lecturer at Curtin University's School of Civil and Mechanical Engineering within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), awarded in 2023, and previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Research Engineer at UTS. Her research focuses on advanced membrane synthesis, nanofiltration, lithium recovery, and machine learning optimization of membrane performance. Dr. Wang has authored 24 high-impact publications (13 as first/co-first author) in journals like Journal of Membrane Science and Desalination, with 90% in JCR Q1 journals. She holds an H-index of 16 and 790+ citations.
Her professional roles include editorial board memberships at Desalination, Desalination and Water Treatment, and Membranes, plus leadership in grants from Curtin's Institute for Energy Transition and the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Awards include the 2024 MSA ECR Travel Award, 2023 UTS Dean’s List Award, and multiple UTS HDR Excellence Awards. Dr. Wang’s work has been supported by grants from the Australian Water Association and the Resources Technology & Critical Minerals Trailblazer Program.
