Chen Hong serves as Professor of Management Science, Associate Dean for Americas, and Director of the Research Center for Clean Energy and Carbon Neutral Development at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). As one of CKGSB's founding faculty members, he has established himself as a leading academic with extensive administrative experience including former roles as Dean of School of Management at Xi'an Jiaotong University and Associate Dean at CKGSB.
Dr. Chen received his PhD from Stanford University and has held prestigious positions including Alumni Professor of Supply Chain Management at the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business and Professor of Management Science at Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance. His educational background forms the foundation for his interdisciplinary research approach spanning operations research, finance, and sustainability.
Chen's research focuses on Clean Energy Market and Finance, Carbon Reduction in Supply Chain, and Modeling and Optimization of Supply Chain Management. His work bridges theoretical operations research with practical applications in healthcare management, corporate finance, and real estate. Recent publications demonstrate a strategic shift toward sustainability-focused research, particularly in hydrogen value chain investments and carbon neutral development, while maintaining strong contributions to core operations research domains.
