Chen Guoqiang

Chen Guoqiang is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, College of Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, China, where he has been employed since 2018.

His educational background includes:

• PhD in Optics from Harbin Institute of Technology (2010-2014)
• Master's degree in Optics from Harbin Institute of Technology (2008-2010)
• Bachelor's degree in Optical Information Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology (2004-2008)

Dr. Chen's research focuses on Ultrafast optics and micro-nano optics, exploring advanced optical phenomena at extremely short time scales and small spatial dimensions. His work bridges the fields of materials science and optical physics, with potential applications in high-speed optical communication, precision measurement, and nanophotonics.

Prior to joining SUSTech, he worked as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore's Faculty of Engineering from 2014 to 2018, building on his strong foundation in optical physics to expand into materials science applications.
