Chen Bram

Chen Bram is a Research Fellow at the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Their work focuses on the anthropology of ethnicity, collective identity, and intergroup relations in Israeli 'mixed cities,' particularly between Jewish immigrants from Central Asia/Caucasus and Arab-Palestinian communities.

Chen Bram's research examines how historical experiences of Muslim-majority environments in Eurasia influence contemporary Jewish-Arab dynamics in Israeli mixed towns like Acre and Ramla. The study combines anthropological fieldwork (interviews) and historical analysis to explore the impact of migration, gender, religious background, and integration processes on intergroup conflicts and harmonious relations.
