Dr. Lily Eilan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Heidelberg University of Jewish Studies (Zentrum für Transkulturelle Studien) at Heidelberg University, working on the project "Beyond Conflict and Coexistence: Towards an Entangled History of Jewish-Arab Relations" (2023–2026). She has held teaching and coordination roles at Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2019–2023) and Heidelberg University of Jewish Studies (2023–2024), focusing on Jewish-Arab relations, Palestinian-Israeli history, and intercultural studies.
Research Interests: Dr. Eilan's work spans social history, agricultural practices, and historical periodization in the Middle East. Her research explores entangled narratives of Jewish and Arab communities, particularly in the Western Galilee (1936–1982), and examines post-1948 socio-economic transformations through interdisciplinary methodologies.
Academic Contributions: Her publications and lectures, including presentations at institutions like Cambridge University and Haifa University, emphasize themes such as agricultural continuity/disruption, cultural coexistence, and the reevaluation of historical divides.
