Chelsea Garneau-Rosner

Dr. Chelsea Garneau-Rosner is an Assistant Research Professor in Human Development and Family Science at the University of Missouri's College of Education & Human Development. She holds a PhD in Family Relations from Florida State University (2012) and directs the ShowMe Healthy Relationships initiative, which has delivered evidence-based relationship education to over 5,000 Missouri adults since 2015.

Garneau-Rosner's research investigates family stability mechanisms in complex family structures, focusing on relationship processes, well-being outcomes, and program evaluation. Her work examines how belief systems and educational interventions influence marital quality in stepcouples, parent-child dynamics, and adolescent attitudes. As Director of ShowMe Healthy Relationships, she develops implementation strategies to translate research into community practice, particularly for underserved populations.

Her publications demonstrate consistent focus on stepfamily dynamics, remarriage transitions, and intervention efficacy. Recent work examines spillover effects of relationship education on child development and systemic approaches to strengthening family resilience.
