Charlotte Way is a Doctoral Student at the Royal College of Music's Centre for Performance Science, conducting research on the wellbeing effects and value of music-making in workplace contexts under supervisors Dr. Rosie Perkins and Dr. Neta Spiro.

Charlotte's research examines how music-making impacts subjective well-being, stress relief, and creativity in professional environments, extending her MSc dissertation work. She investigates both individual and group music-making applications while exploring how instrumental teaching can be adapted to adult learning needs throughout the lifespan. Her work recognizes participatory music as a valuable tool for teambuilding, creativity enhancement, and emotional healing in workplace settings.
With extensive practical experience, Charlotte has taught children and adults privately and served as a Visiting Music Teacher at Alleyn's School in Dulwich. Since 2015, she has focused on adult education at Man Group plc in London. She also conducted music workshops at a South London homeless center for five years, demonstrating her commitment to accessible music applications.
