Charlotte Meier is a Researcher and doctoral candidate at the Department of International Relations and Transnational Politics within the Institute of Political Science at the University of Leipzig since October 2020. She holds an MA in Communication Research (Politics focus) from the University of Erfurt and a BA in Communication Studies from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster. During her MA, she worked as a research assistant at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy.

Her research focuses on populism, political communication, and social movements. She teaches courses like (Trans)national Perspectives on European Populisms (Wintersemester 2020/21 & 2021/22) and Internationale Politische Kommunikation (Sommersemester 2021). She is affiliated with the Humanities Centre at Beethovenstraße 15, Leipzig, and her office hours are available by appointment.
