Charlotte Goudge is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anthropology at Brandeis University. Her research focuses on historical archaeology in the Caribbean and North America, examining colonialism, capitalism, and environmental impacts through material culture analysis.

Research Interests: Dr. Goudge investigates colonial entanglements through island and maritime networks, specializing in economic systems, social change, and environmental legacies of European colonialism. Her work integrates postcolonial theory to analyze how colonial enterprises established enduring financial, social, and ecological disruptions in Caribbean communities. She examines subsistence patterns, industrial pollution from sugar/rum production, and cross-cultural interactions at contact-era sites.
