Charlotte Gordon is a Distinguished Professor of Humanities at Endicott College's School of Social Sciences, Communication & Humanities. She holds an A.B. from Harvard College and a Ph.D. from Boston University. Her work focuses on literary biography, women’s history, and religious studies, with notable publications on Mary Wollstonecraft, Mary Shelley, and the origins of Abrahamic faiths.
Her research interests include 18th/19th century literature, feminist studies, and the intersection of religion and narrative. Her 2015 book Romantic Outlaws won the National Book Critics Circle Award. Recent contributions include a Penguin Classics introduction to Frankenstein and a Very Short Introduction to Mary Shelley.
