Charlotte Dolez

Charlotte Dolez is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Sciences Po Lyon, affiliated with the Triangle laboratory (UMR 5206). Her research focuses on political sociology, media reception, and qualitative methodologies. She holds a PhD from Sciences Po Paris (2013) and has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Louvain (Belgium) and Stanford University (USA). Her work examines citizen interactions with political information, media practices, and the dynamics of political representation. Recent studies include analyses of metropolitan democracy in Lyon, citizen information-seeking behaviors, and the impact of personalized politics on democratic engagement.

Key projects include the RAPPOPAP project on precarious populations' political engagement and the Euromanifesto-Project analyzing European political manifestos. She contributes to journals like Participations and Bulletin de Méthodologie Sociologique. Teaching includes courses on political sociology, social sciences, and French political systems at Sciences Po Lyon.

Awards include the highest honor in her PhD defense. Her research integrates mixed methods, particularly innovative couple-interview techniques to study political discussions and media effects.
