Professor Charlotte Bolton serves as Research Theme Co-lead and Airways Disease Co-lead at the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre, a partnership between Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Nottingham.
Her research focuses on chronic respiratory diseases, primarily COPD, with emphasis on extrapulmonary manifestations, pulmonary rehabilitation efficacy, and respiratory outcomes in adults born preterm.
