Charlotta Weigelt serves as Professor of Philosophy at Södertörn University within the Department of Culture and Learning. She completed her doctoral thesis The Logic of Life: Heidegger's Retrieval of Aristotle's Concept of Logos in 2002 and maintains active research in ancient philosophy and phenomenology.
Her scholarly focus centers on classical Greek thought, particularly Aristotle's metaphysical framework, Plato's political theory, and Socratic methodology. This manifests through critical translations of foundational texts like Physics (2017) and Nicomachean Ethics (2023), alongside original monographs including Socrates. The Shapes of the Philosopher (2023).
Recent publications reveal a clear trajectory from Heideggerian phenomenological interpretations toward direct engagement with primary sources, culminating in current work on Plato's political philosophy. The sustained emphasis on Aristotelian causality and ethical frameworks demonstrates methodological consistency across two decades of scholarship.
Professor Weigelt collaborates with Hans Ruin and Olof Petterson on research initiatives documented through schaph.se. Her ongoing translation of Metaphysics indicates active grant-supported work, though specific funding mechanisms remain unmentioned in available materials.
