Charlotta Pettersson is a Senior Lecturer in Pedagogy at Örebro University's Department of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (HumUS), within the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. and specializes in special education, focusing on inclusion and collaborative didactics. Her work emphasizes student health issues, co-teaching strategies, and the role of school meals as pedagogical tools. She is project manager for the 'Promoting student collaboration competence' initiative, fostering interprofessional learning across educational programs.
Her research projects include 'Interprofessional learning in higher professional education – a path towards a sustainable society?' (2023–2026) and participation in the Norwegian-funded 'Academic Hospitality in Interdisciplinary Education' (AHIE). Key research themes include collaborative practices, equity in education, and sustainable development through interdisciplinary approaches.
Publications span journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers addressing topics like inclusive school meal strategies, gender-coded diagnoses in special education, and interprofessional collaboration in higher education. She contributes to research environments such as SpecEDL (Special Education, Development and Learning) and ILHP (Interaction and Learning in Higher Education Pedagogy Practice).
Her pedagogical leadership includes managing courses in the Special Education Program and advocating for inclusive educational policies. Recent work includes a 2024 report on fostering student collaboration through boundary-crossing educational modules.
