Charlotta Böiers is an Associate Professor and Principal Investigator at Lund University, affiliated with the Division of Molecular Hematology and Lund University Cancer Centre (LUCC). She leads the Developmental lymphopoiesis and leukemia research team within StemTherapy national stem cell initiative.
- UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Cell and Molecular Biology
Her research focuses on hematopoietic stem cells, leukemia developmental origins, and regenerative medicine. Using mouse models and single-cell multiomics, she investigates lineage restriction mechanisms, prenatal events in pediatric leukemia, and age/sex-related gene expression in immune cells.
Key publications include work on chromatin programs in hematopoiesis, B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia regulomes, and monocyte subtype neuroinflammation. Current projects include Developmental lymphopoiesis and leukemia (Cancerfonden, 2024-2027) and Resolving prenatal leukemia development (Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund & VR, 2023-2029). She actively participates in organizing LUCC-related workshops and conferences.
