Charlie Seager is a full-time Lecturer in Law and the School Lead for Student Experience and Engagement at Salford Business School, University of Salford. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she is deeply committed to teaching, student mentorship, and improving academic support systems. As an alumna of the university, having earned her LLB Law with Spanish here, she brings a strong personal and professional connection to the institution.
Her educational background includes an LLM in Healthcare Law and Ethics from the University of Manchester, which has informed her interdisciplinary approach to legal education. She transitioned into academia after industry experience, driven by her passion for teaching and mentoring future legal professionals.
Charlie's research focuses on the impact of academic personal tutoring on student engagement, sense of belonging, confidence, and educational outcomes. Her work is applied and student-centered, aiming to enhance the overall student experience in higher education. She is currently preparing research for conference presentations, with publications in the pipeline.
